  3. Bought my first house when I was 23. Came home from college, moved back in with my parents for a little over a year to save up a down payment. Bought my house becuase I was smart enough to know I did want to pay someone elses mortgage by renting, instead I wanted people paying mine. So I bought a little fixer upper in Manayunk, had two friends move in with me, their rent covered the mortgage and since they were there I had help every night fixing up the house.
